Updated 23/8/24 with opening date and address
They've been big in Mayfair and now Maison Francois are the latest to head over to the growing food mecca that is Borough Market, opening Café Francois in Borough Yards where the Paul Smith shop used to be.
It sounds like this Francois outpost will be more of a laid-back operation than the original - an all-day two-floored affair, acting as both deli and restaurant.
It all kicks off in the morning with pastries and breakfast sandwiches, and everything baked in-house in a bakery you can see into on the first floor (eclairs will apparently be a big thing). They'll also be joining that current trend of going big on rotisserie chicken, which will be available in baguettes, alongside steak sandwiches and roast pork belly banh mis.
Alongside those, the larger dishes will include whole lobster frites, prime rib and more.
