Given the huge popularity of their other restaurants, it's a pretty safe bet that Club Mexicana's first south London restaurant will be a big hit when it opens in Brixton this autumn. You'll find the group's latest restaurant on Market Row where the 35-seat spot will be serving up the vegan tacos and cocktails they've built up a reputation for.
On the menu in Brixton will be a mix of signature dishes - like the Tofish and Cheezeburger tacos - but they're also planning some brand new treats like a Deep fried 'brisket' burrito packed with queso and jalapeños before being deep fried and topped with chilli salsa.
Club Mexicana have always gone big on cocktails and for Brixton there will be a brand new drink on the menu, the Mango-Jalapeno frozen margarita made with jalapeno infused tequila. If that all sounds lovely but you're swerving booze, then the good news they also offer alcohol-free tequila so you won't miss out.
"Our Brixton taco bar is such a gorgeous spot and how I always imagined Club Mexicana," says founder Meriel Armitage, "it's the perfect place to grab a few tacos, sink a few margaritas with some great tunes on."
