Taca Tacos finds a new home on Peckham's Rye Lane

taca2

More tacos are coming to Peckham as Taca Tacos gets ready to open its second site in the area. You may have seen them in Peckham's Brick Brewery (as well as Deptford's Market Yard) but this has them getting a place all to themselves (taking over the space from Two Hundred Rye Lane).

The usual favourites will be on offer, including their beef birria (6-hour braised brisket, with Mexican guajillo, ancho and pasilla chilies), served in a tortilla dipped in beef fat and fried with Monterey Jack cheese. They'll also have baja fish tacos, and green chile pork taco (braised pork collar, avocado, pink onions, jalapeno salsa verde and coriander). On the veggie side there will be the shroom quesataco (pulled chipotle king oyster mushrooms, pink onions, de arbol salsa, coriander and grilled cheese).

They will, of course, be serving up margaritas, including a smoked pineapple margarita, alongside local beers and Mexican lagers Modelo and Pacific.

This restaurant will be their biggest yet and its best selling point is the big garden out the back for about 30 people. If the weather ever improves, that should be a very pleasant place to sit with tacos and margaritas.
