A new Honey and Co is on the way from Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich. It's their second time in Bloomsbury as they get ready to open Honey & Co Daily.
Almost halfway between Honey and Spice and their main Honey and Co restaurant, the new space is just off Tottenham Court Road and happens to be on the same street as another Bloomsbury favourite, Cafe Deco.
As well as the main Honey & Co, they have a grill restaurant (Honey & Smoke) and a food shop (Honey & Spice) and this will be something different again. Here, it's an all-day dining affair where the main focus will be on baked goods. So you can expect Middle Eastern bakes like pastries, sandwiches, lachma, cakes and breads. They'll also have salads, shakshukas and dips on offer including:
- Musakhan – flatbread baked with spiced chicken topping, sumac parsley salad
- Black Bursa figs, whipped goat’s cheese, gem, mint & Greek thyme honey
- Msabaha – spiced chickpeas, tahini, poached egg & burnt butter
In addition, they're also planning evening supperclubs on Friday and Saturday nights, which will start with a Rosh Hashanah celebration supper club. You'll have to sign up to their mailing list to get first dibs on those.
Srulovich says: "Our whole operation is powered by my wife Sarit, not least our pastry section – a fairy of sugar, fruit and flour, she conjures up incredible baked goods seemingly without moving, certainly without measuring too much, performing something not far from pure magic. This place is truly the space she deserves, a brand new kitchen dedicated to her art, plus a dining space that is so beautiful, I wish we could move in… it will make you weep.”
That certainly sounds like something worth waiting for.
