Good news if you’ve missed the Peckham outlet of the hugely popular Market Place food halls. After closing earlier this year for a revamp, Market Place Peckham is coming back, baby. It was the very first of the Market Place venues to open in London, spawning success stories with additional outlets in Hounslow, Vauxhall and Harrow. The brand has now given the original Peckham site a bit of a facelift and intends to hold some intense celebrations in its opening month.
There’ll be famous DJs (including Sir David Rodigan OBE), collabs, pop-ups and giveaways in the 250-capacity space that spans five indoor seating zones. Bring the family, the dog, and even the laptop if needs be (there’s free wifi, and professionals working from ‘home’ are encouraged).
You can expect ten new street-food vendors, including the following:
- Suya & Lobster - seafood dishes
- Los Tacos - Mexican tacos
- Huli Huli - Hawaiian chicken
- Baba G’s - Indian-inspired burgers
- Pepper Spice - Pan-Asian cuisine
- Farm House Kebab - Turkish kebabs
- Little Tokyo - Japanese street food
- Argentinian Grill - Steaks and more
- KraPow - Thai food
- Dum Dum Donutterie - Baked donuts and cronuts
Yes, the numerically minded will note that’s only nine. We will keep you posted on the mystery 10th new vendor.
