Kayu Bakehouse is coming to London

Kayu Bakehouse is coming to London

8/9/23 - updated with more details about the London launch

Following a bakery that's come to London via Hong Kong, now here's another which has come via Dubai, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi.

Kayu Bakehouse dubs itself an "artisan dessert boutique" specialising in French desserts. It comes from chef Karim Bourgi in Dubai who trained in France before opening La Maison Du Chocolat and Hermes Paris Cafe in Dubai.

Promised for the menu in London are desserts and pastries made only with natural ingredients. They include raspberry cream cheese croissants, double chocolate brioche, and their signature mousse chocolat, mosaic roll cake and eclairs. Other locations also have pastries like the Fleur Stracciatella or the Lebanese orange blossom pistachio pie (Sweet almond paste, soft pistachio biscuit, pistachio cream, pistachio praline, orange blossom and chopped pistachios) so hopefully we'll see that in London too.

As for the look of the London Kayu, it does sound like it's firmly placed down the luxury end of the market, furnished with golden spider marble furnishings imported from Greece. The creations do look pretty amazing, so we can see this one being bog on TikTok and Instagram.
