Walthamstow's beer community grows ever larger with a new opening on what they call the "Blackhorse Beer Mile". This time it's the turn of Pretty Decent Beer Co, who are opening a brewery and taproom there.
Onsite, they'll have 20 beers on tap (regularly changing) including one with the best title we've seen in a while - a session ale called "I Could Get Better At T*sco For a Quid". Run by Co-Founders Sarah and James Casey, they started as London’s smallest commercial brewery in 2017 and are now hoping to make as many as 20,000 pints a week as they grow into the new space.
The taproom will be bringing in local food pop-ups, and that kicks off with Walthamstow’s It’s Not Big Dough and their Neapolitan-style pizzas. On the menu, expect Margherita & Pepperoni and rotating weekly specials like pumpkin and guanciale, and purple potato with pecorino cream.
There will be new beers on a weekly basis as they say that "our focus in on trying to not to f*ck it up!" And there's even a Beer Wheel Of Fortune with a chance to win more beer.
