Chotto Matte doubles up with a new Marylebone restaurant

Chotto Matte doubles up with a new Marylebone restaurant

After success in Soho, restaurateur Kurt Zdesar is getting ready to open a second Chotto Matte in London - this time in Marylebone (taking over from where Fucina used to be). That makes it the fourth Chotto Matte overall (they're in Miami and Toronto as well) although they are opening in San Francisco, Nashville and Los Angeles too so they're definitely on an expansion drive.

If you're yet to try out Chotto Matte, it's all about Nikkei cuisine, the blend of Japanese and Peruvian cuisines, with Ceviche, Tiradito, Anticucho BBQ, Sushi, Sashimi and Tempura all on the menu. There will be new dishes too, including fatty tuna (O-Toro) and robatayaki salmon with smoked jalapeño chilli, persimmon (sharon fruit) and truffle.

They'll also be adding a new cocktail menu called Tokyo to Lima with 10 new drinks which will be a little different from the norm, including ingredients like coriander, teriyaki, miso, and black pepper.

We'll have more news on the menu closer to the opening.
