The reveal of the Top 50 Gastropubs of 2022 yesterday makes it the first big awards of the year to be announced. Topping the list for the first time is The Unruly Pig, the Suffolk pub with chef Dave Wall behind the food.
As ever London does pretty well, with Mayfair's Guinea Grill being the city's highest placing at number 7. Best known for a combination of amazing steaks (see photo above) and an excellent pint of Guinness, this is the first time it's been the top London pub on the list.
The other London pubs making their mark include - The Harwood Arms (15), The Red Lion and Sun (16), The Bull & Last (21), The French House (29) and The Canton Arms (38).
