They've been popular in Chelsea (they even got a visit from Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston) and now Mexican restaurant and bar Mezcalito is heading to Newington Green.
Food-wise, it'll be the same as the original - a mix of tacos, quesadillas, burritos and small plates. That includes:
- Mexican Bao - Mexicanised Bao Bun, choose from Chicken Tinga OR Pulled Pork Carnita
- Beef Deshebrada Tacos - 4hr braised pulled beef marinated in a smoky salsa. Sweet Potato Puree, Pico de Gallo, Chipotle & Jalapeño
- Camaron Al Ajillo Quesadillas - King Prawn cooked in a guajillo chilli and garlic sauce, served with salsa roja
For drinks, they'll have over 250 agave spirits (which they say is the second largest collection in London) and a cocktail list that's called ”Visit Mexico Through Cocktails”. Those are tequila and mezcal-based cocktails inspired by ten holiday destinations in Mexico, made with ingredients from each region.
