The Light Bar was one of the first restaurants to open post-lockdown in 2021 and next year they're getting ready to launch something new. This time they're opening the upstairs restaurant which they're calling The Timber Loft, and it's all sounding rather promising.
In charge of things will be Tristan Downes, who last worked with Stevie Parle at Joy. He's bringing a few of the Joy team with him to this new opening, which will have a modern-European focus. On the menu will be:
- Celeriac and winter tomato terrine
- Brioche crostini- Squash Ravioli, Fried sage and chestnut
- Confit duck leg, roscoff onion and red cabbage
They'll also be kicking things off with a special Veganuary menu, with dishes including Jerusalem Artichoke Gnocchi, Artichoke Crisps, Nasturtium. At the same time, Tristan has also revised the menu downstairs - so if you haven't been yet, now could be the time to try it out.
And, as with the room below, it's all looking rather special up there in the loft as you can see...
