A Hot Dinners exclusive
It's fair to say chefs and restaurateurs are being pretty cunning when it comes to finding ways to ensure they can reopen on 12 April. Take Tom Kerridge for example. His restaurant, Kerridge's Bar and Grill, at the Corinthia London, doesn't have any outside space. But, as if by magic, the hotel's managed to conjure some out of thin air.
To that end, Kerridge's Garden Grill will be a four-week pop-up restaurant. It's taking over an alfresco mezzanine space at the hotel, just off Whitehall. It's weather dependent as there isn't any cover as such - but we're told there will be umbrellas to ward off the British weather and room for around 40 diners.
The restaurant's Head Chef Nick Beardshaw will be taking over cooking duties - focusing on cooking on a grill, so think whole lobster and turbot on the bone. There'll also be Tom's triple cooked chips on the menu as well as an extensive Champagne list.
