Last week, we heard the news that Honest Burgers have been reopening branches, and delivering burgers all over town. But that's not the only thing they've been getting ready for in lockdown - they've taken the opportunity to open a whole new operation - Honest Chicken.
As you might have guessed - it's the chicken alternative to Honest, using Somerset chickens, sustainably raised and free-range. Everything also comes with the Honest rosemary salted chips.
Here's what's on the menu:
- Chicken: Free-range buttermilk fried chicken thigh, American cheese, chipotle mayo, lettuce and pickles (£10)
- Grilled: Free-range grilled chicken breast, basil pesto, tomato, mustard mayo and rocket (£12)
- Buffalo: Free-range buttermilk fried chicken thigh, smoked bacon, homemade buffalo sauce, ranch mayo, lettuce and pickles (£13)
- Thai: Free-range buttermilk fried chicken thigh, honey sriracha glaze, Thai slaw, crispy shallots, American cheese, ranch mayo and lettuce (£14 - a former collaboration with Wingman's)
Extras on the side include buffalo wings and homemade coleslaw alongside plenty of dips. Those include chicken & bacon gravy - which sounds like a must-have.
To start with, it's taken over from Honest Burgers King's Cross - and they're looking at more sites soon.
