Chunky Buddha will serve up Asian tapas at Nightjar

Chunky Buddha brings Asian tapas to Nightjar

After 10 years running one of the capital's very best bars, Nightjar is bringing in someone new to look after its food. Lee Chau Le is taking Chunky Buddha to the bar for an ongoing residency.

Also at Truman Brewery’s JuJu’s Bar (and he appeared on Jason Atherton's Chef's Brigade), Lee will be combining his roots in New York and Bethnal Green with the background of his Chinese and Vietnamese parents. That'll result in a menu of globally influenced Asian tapas dishes that will include:

  • Steak Sando - his riff on Londons favourite new sandwich
  • King Prawn Toast
  • Tofu Nuggets
  • Salt & Pepper Aubergine
  • A giant Vietnamese rice cracker filled with pea-green edamame humous
  • Temple Dumplings with salty, veggie, spicy flavours
  • Crispy Duck & Bao Buns

It definitely sounds worth checking out - paired with a few NIghtjar cocktails, of course.
