Yes, we may have only just been talking about veggie burgers, but another has popped up on our radar that's well worth your attention.
Asma Khan of Darjeeling Express (and imminent Chef's Table star) is teaming up with Haché for this special. It's the Lotus Burger and it's an Indian Ayurvedic-inspired, veggie burger including "a turmeric-flavoured brioche bun, Bengali Chop vegetable patty, and grilled seasoned aubergine topped off with lettuce, tomato, mustard, pickled red onion and turmeric and chilli mayo". And on top of that, there's also Asma’s Secret Fries (seasoned with turmeric, chilli and Indian spices and with sprinkled sesame seeds).
£1 from the sale of every burger and 50p from the sale of every portion of fries will be donated to The Lotus Flower – Asma’s chosen charity which was started by genocide survivor, Taban Sohresh – which aims to empower vulnerable girls and women within their community. It's on their menu now and throughout January so get down to a Hache while it lasts.
