Summing it all up: Looking for a healthy restaurant in Marylebone that's all gluten and dairy-free. Then it sounds like AOK kitchen may be just the thing. AND there's a gluten-free bakery too.
The low-down
A new restaurant and bakery free from gluten, dairy and refined-sugar is coming to London courtesy of AOK Bakery. It comes from Kelly Landesberg, who happens to be daughter of Gary Landesberg - chairman of Mayfair's Arts Club.
It's part restaurant/cafe (upstairs) and part bakery (downstairs) and all of it has a specific focus towards healthy food. Breakfasts include "Acai and Coconut bowls", "a stack of fluffy blueberry pancakes with organic maple syrup and fresh berries" and the requisite full English. And at lunch and dinner, they'll be adding sea bass ceviche, rocket and pomegranate tabbouleh, homemade gluten-free gnocchi and BBQ lamb chops. In the kitchen will be Kostas Rampias, former Head Chef at MoMo’s.
And if you're just passing by - the downstairs bakery will be filled with dairy and gluten free goodies too (from Sebastian Chiono, the head baker at The Arts Club).
