Estiatorio Milos bringing Greek seafood to London's Regent Street

London seems to be seeing a fair few Greek restaurants opening of late. On top of the recent openings of Opso and The Greek Larder we now have Estiatorio Milos to look forward to.

This seafood restaurant is the brainchild of Costas Spiliadis who opened his first restaurant in Montreal back in the 70s and since then has opened branches of Estiatorio Milos in New York City, Las Vegas, Miami and even Athens.

Spiliadis will be on a mission to find the freshest fish from Greece, the British Isles and around the world. The company's reputation for sparklingly fresh seafood saw Fay Maschler pick it as one of her most anticipated openings of 2015.

The restaurant itself takes over the Grade II-listed building that was previously British Columbia House on Regent Street.

With room for 180 diners over two floors, there'll be a main dining room, bar and fish market-style display on the ground floor, with a raw seafood bar, private dining rooms and wine cellar on the mezzanine level. It's being designed jointly by Spiliadis and architect Alain Carle.

Estiatorio Milos will open in June 2015 at 1 Regent Street St James's, London SW1Y 4NR
