If, for some reason, your invite to this year's Academy Awards appears to have got lost in the post, there is another way to get the same A-list experience without buying a ticket to LA.
All you have to do is head down to the bar at 45 Park Lane where the hotel's executive chef Elliott Grover is currently serving up three signature dishes, all of which are going to be served to the start at the annual Governors Ball following the ceremony.
There are three new Oscar's specials on the menu, plus a special drink by bar manager Enrico Perri, and we popped down to give them a try.
On the bar food menu, the section called Red Carpet Delights features three special bar snacks (which will be party food at the Oscars).
They are a wagyu roasted Yorkshire pudding with creamed horseradish and watercress (probably our favourite of the bunch - £28) along with a prawn cocktail roll with beluga caviar and Marie Rose sauce (£24) and native lobster ‘fish and chips’ with a spicy tartare sauce and triple cooked chips (£24).
If all that wasn't reason enough to come down, there's also an amazing exhibition of photography by celebrity photographer Andy Gott with images of Hollywood's finest dotted all over the bar and hotel.
The Oscars (and the party where these will be served) takes place on 10 March but you'll have until April to try them at the bar.
