The Palomar restaurant to open on Rupert Street with Jerusalem's top chefs behind it

palomarlogo219/5 - updated with soft launch info.

The chefs from Jerusalem's coolest restaurant Machneyuda are heading to London to help open their first UK restaurant. The Palomar, which will open this Spring on Soho's Rupert Street sees Layo and Zoe Paskin, the siblings behind The End and AKA teaming up with Machneyuda's Yossi Elad, Uri Navon & Asaf Granit.

Full-time in the kitchen at The Palomar will be Moroccan chef Tomer Amedi who used to work at Yudale, the Jerusalem bar also owned by Machneyuda. His menu will specialise in food from Jerusalem with influences from Southern Spain and Italy, North Africa through to the Levant. Will Tomer be bringing his particular form of kitchen percussion to London (click here for the youtube video to see what we're talking about)? We'll have to wait and see.

The Palomar opens May 20 at 34 Rupert Street, London W1. There's a soft launch until the 24th (dinner only - 50% off food and cocktails) and you can book via reservations@thepalomar.co.uk. For more information follow them on Twitter @palomarsoho
