River Cottage returns to the Imperial with a six course tasting menu

River Cottage returns to the Imperial with a six course tasting menu

Devon’s River Cottage returns to The Imperial for a second time, bringing with it a hefty yet affordable tasting menu lead by Steven Lamb.

If you’re kicking yourself for missing last year’s River Cottage residency at the Imperial, then good news. You’ll have a second chance for two nights this February when the Devonshire restaurant visits for a second time. It’ll also be stopping off in Surrey at the Three Horseshoes immediately after.

There’ll be a six-course tasting menu on offer, including dishes like rare breed pork crackling with fennel salt and apple sauce and slow roasted venison shoulder with celeriac root fries and charred savoy cabbage in a ‘rhubarb-b-q’ sauce.

As before, curing and smoking expert Steven Lamb will be in charge, bringing with him a decade of experience at the River Cottage.

The menu will cost a very reasonable £80 per person, which feels like especially good value given it includes a glass of sparkling wine.

Where: The Imperial, 577 Kings Road, London, SW6 2EH

When: 27 - 28 February

To book: Reservations by phone on 0207 736 6081 or email reservations@the-imperial.co.uk.
