(Updated with more menu details)
It's managed a spot in the World's 50 Best Restaurant list three times (currently a re-entry at 84) and is apparently a favoured dining spot of Bill and Hillary Clinton when they're in the area. Now New Delhi restaurant Bukhara is coming to London for a two week pop-up. The restaurant will be at the Sheraton Park Tower in Knightsbridge for two weeks from 17 May to 1 June 2012.
Bukhara pop-up is billed as "an indoor and outdoor epicurean experience" and will include terrace dining on Knightsbridge itself. The New Delhi chef Manjit Gill, pictured here, will be in town to serve up signature dishes such as Murgh Malai Kebab (Creamy Chicken Kebab) and Dal Bukhara (a combination of whole black lentils, tomatoes, ginger and garlic slow-cooked over coals for 18 hours).
The full menus have now been revealed. The Vegetarian Tasting menu is £59.00, including Tandoori Simla Mirch ("capsicum stuffed with French beans, carrots, cabbage and cauliflower, nuts and sultanas, spiced with cumin and yellow chilli powder, finally roasted on a special skewer") and the aforementioned Dal Bukhara.
The Meat and Seafood Tasting Menu is £79.00 including Tandoori Jhinga ("Jumbo Prawns marinated in an ajwain flavoured mixture of yoghurt, red chillies, turmeric and flavoured with garam masala skewered and roasted over charcoal fire. Served with lemon wedges"), the Dal Bukhara and Sikandri Raan ("Whole leg of spring lamb, marinated in a mixture of malt vinegar, cinnamon and black cumin braised in the marinade, skewered and then finished in a tandoor").
The pop-up will be open 6.30pm to 10.30pm each night. Reservations can be made at www.luxurycollection.com/bukhara or by calling 0208 045 0715.
