What: Hot Stone
In a nutshell: Steak and sushi bar with DIY hot stone cooking
Summing it all up: If you enjoy an interactive dining experience this new steak and sushi spot delivers main courses to you ready to cook over a hot stone.
The low-down
Islington has a new hot stone steak and sushi spot. Tucked down Chapel Market, this latest space opened up five weeks ago but has already started creating a bit of a stir on Instagram.
Launched by Shrabaneswor Rai and Muna Sambahangphe, the restaurant serves up a range of sushi and sashimi with guests cooking their main courses on hot stones.
Start out with maybe crispy rice with spicy tuna tartare and pickled radish or takoyaki with okonomiyaki sauce or perhaps the octopus carpaccio with radish, fennel and truffle mustard sauce (pictured) before moving on to the hot stone course, where you can choose from a variety of meat and fish - including tuna or wagyu beef - or opt for a bibimbap bowl instead.
The wine and beer list seems pretty basic, so you'd be better off working your way through a more extensive sake list which starts at just £6 for a 100ml serving.
