Honey and Co have just opened Honey and Spice food store and deli

Honey & Co have opened a new Deli

There's much-deserved love for Honey & Co, so there will be many who will be very happy indeed about their latest news - that they've just opened a new deli. We caught up with Honey & Co's Itamar Srulovich to find out more...

Why did you decide to open the Honey & Co food store, and what can we expect?

We wanted to do something a little bit different and came up with opening a local, neighbourhood food store where you can pick up Middle Eastern spices, groceries and some take-away food.

We have all the shelf products we use in our cooking - Turkish biber, mahleb, our homemade spice mixes, tahini from Lebanon, grape and pomegranate molasses, kadaif pastry. There will also be homemade jams, fruit and veg, some homeware (like handpainted tiles and shakshuka pans) and daily lunch takeaway options for locals.

Soon we'll have homemade ice creams and we've also just been approved an alcohol license so we will be stocking some of our favourite wines

And will it just be takeaway?

No, we have a small seating area at the back that seats around 10 people. It's very relaxed. At the moment, 11-6pm but we will be open all day eventually

The Honey & Co deli is open now at 52 Warren Street, London W1T 5NJ. It's open 11-6pm but they do plan to open all day eventually. For more, follow them on Twitter @Honeyandco.
