What: Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza
In a nutshell: Ramsay does bottomless pizzas in The City
Summing it all up: Gordon Ramsay has just switched the ground floor of his restaurant at One New Change into a pizza restaurant. The selling point? This one is doing bottomless pizzas for just £15.
The low-down
Gordon Ramsay has opened a pizza restaurant in London. Without much of a preamble (just a report in trade title Caterer News), he's turned the ground floor of Bread Street Kitchen over at One New Change into Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza and one of the key selling points it that it's a bottomless pizza menu. By that we presume you pay once and get to eat as much as you can.
For £15 you can choose from the classic margherita or pepperoni, or go upscale with a Josper charred aubergine pizza with toasted pine nuts, wild garlic pesto and tomato or a corn and chorizo with sweetcorn puree, chorizo, pulled chicken, mozzarella, spring onions and coriander. There'll also be daily specials and a small selection of sides. Desserts are kept brief with a choice of just two - tiramisu or negroni ice-cream.
The drinks list is similarly to the point - two beers, Prosecco, four wines - two white and two red, and four cocktails including a hard lemonade and a street spritz. And every evening, they'll see someone new on the decks with an all-female DJ line up. Already confirmed are DJ Goldierocks (Bestival, Secret Garden Party, Latitude) and DJ duo, Bittersweet (Lights of Soho, Global Gift Gala Foundation).
