Galloping gourmets arrested after trying to scam another restaurant

Yesterday we reported on the story of the couple who took Michelin-starred restaurant L'Autre Pied for £572 after they skipped paying the bill through a combination of making a booking under a false name and number and then leaving whilst ostensibly nipping out for a cigarette. Astonishingly, given the amount of publicity the case received, the duo were apparently nabbed last night whilst trying the same scam at another restaurant, L'Oranger in St James.

According to Caterer Search, last night's restaurant was the latest in a string of high-profile venues targeted by the galloping gourmets, others included Pearl in Holborn and The Glasshouse in Kew.
