For the month of May, the fun and festivities of the Spanish Feria are coming to London as The Sherry Tour of London takes over the capital. All across the city, bars and restaurants are gearing up to celebrate Sherry wines with a host of activities planned.
In total, more than 45 places are going to be showcasing what's so great about Sherry - including what dishes to enjoy it with. Made using centuries-old traditions, these amazing wines really capture the essence of southern Spain - its climate, its history, its culture and its people. Whether you want to enjoy them as an aperitif or with food, or would just like to learn a little more about them, this is your chance.

Festival highlights
Jose Pizarro
Where: Bermondsey, Mayfair and Broadgate
Celebrated Spanish chef Jose has come up with an inspired dish for the event. You'll be able to order his dish of grilled squid, Cinco Jotas Jamón, creamy potato, pine nut picada and Oloroso sherry sauce at all his restaurants for the month of May. He's also coming up with a special sherry cocktail you should look out for.

Barrafina
Where: Soho, Covent Garden, King's Cross and Borough
The banderilla - a snack of anchovies, pickled peppers and olives is the perfect match for a glass of sherry. For the tour, Barrafina are pairing it with a glass of Fino for £7 when you dine there in May.

Salt Yard Group
Where: All restaurants
Each of the restaurants at Salt Yard will be putting on a particular dish to go with a specific sherry this May. You might enjoy tuna tartare with squid ink crackers at Opera Tavern, paired with a glass of Fino. Or maybe a hot chocolate fondant with Pedro Ximenez at Ember Yard.

The Tapas Room
Where: Peckham, Battersea, Tooting, Deptford, Brixton
All five of The Tapas Room venues will have special dishes matched with specific sherries for the tour. There's an entire pairing menu at the Brixton site while Battersea will be offering tasting flights from several sherry houses.

Bibo
Where: 45 Curtain Rd, London EC2A 3PT
Chef patron Dani Garcia will be celebrating his homeland with a special Sherry cocktail on offer at Bibo in Shoreditch this May. The Guadalete features Manzanilla and Oloroso along with cherry syrup and Fever-Tree tonic.
