For the perfect date night, it’s always Maison François. It’s a beautiful dining room and François is a generous host. French classics and the best dessert trolley in London... even my kids love it.
The Regency Cafe

This is our Saturday ritual - the kids and I always get full English. The cheat is to go slightly early and the lines are not as bad. We love the fact that you need to have it all figured out when you reach the till. It is also a good space for people-watching. We’ve been going for a few years, so they ensure the kids always get butter and bread even when it has run out.

Who isn’t a fan of Angela Hartnett? A perfect lunch spot in the area and a super generous set menu.
The Devonshire

Yes this is in Piccadilly but it’s walking distance from St James, so I consider it my local. If you are a regular you know the Green Room. It is always difficult to get a table in the dining room because it’s so busy. It makes me weirdly proud it is a spot which is that good and local to me.
Imperial Treasure

The food hits the spot. It feels like a special occasion restaurant but trust me you need to go at least once a month. We have a standing takeaway order for when we can't be bothered to wear nice clothes to go and eat there.
