Restaurants with pancakes all year round

Fitzrovia, London Bridge, Battersea

The best place to start would be a restaurant where pancakes are literally in the name. The folks behind this originally started as a pop-up and now have three restaurants across town. Here you'll find sweet or savoury pancakes (including an English breakfast pancake) as well as Dutch babies and you can choose your batter with vegan and wheat-free options available.

Various locations

Just as it's known for serving breakfast and brunch all day every day, The Breakfast Club always has pancakes on the menu. The main event is the All-American which comes with bacon, sausage, homestyle potatoes, fried eggs & maple syrup. Or you could try the Big Stack with crispy bacon, hash browns, sausage patty, cheese, caramelised onions & a fried egg. There are new Breakfast Clubs opening up all the time, so you should find one near you.

The Polo BarThe Polo Bar

City of London - 176 Bishopsgate, London EC2M 4NQ

Yes, it's another all-day breakfast spot so that means even more pancakes. You'll find all the pancakes on the dessert menu here - even the ones with bacon. Options include Cookies and Cream (made with Oreo cookies, vanilla cream and chocolate sauce), lotus banoffee pancakes and Royale, with forest berries vanilla cream and fruit coulis. As it's a 24-hour restaurant, you can fill that pancake craving at any time of the day.

Sarava Creperie & CafeSarava Creperie & Cafe

Brixton - 41-42 Brixton Village Market, Coldharbour Ln, London SW9 8PS

Previously known as Senzala, this Brixton restaurant specialises in French crepes alongside Brazilian tapas. Options include the Brixton Jerk (cheese jerk chicken, red onion, red pepper, biquinho pepper, parsley, spring onion, dash of tabasco and spinach) or the Salmon Panache made with smoked salmon, asparagus, rocket, crème fraiche galette and topped with a fried egg.

Granger and CoGranger and Co

Various locations

You may not find as many pancakes on the menu here, but there's one that happens to be the late Bill Granger's signature dish. These are the ricotta hotcakes, served with banana and honeycomb butter. Yes, they're not called pancakes, but trust us on this one, it's a dish you have to try at least once.

Sunday in BrooklynSunday in Brooklyn

Notting Hill and Marylebone

This American import is well known for their brunches and they've become particularly famous for their pancakes. The Sunday Pancakes are drowned in hazelnut maple praline and topped with brown butter. They really do live up to their reputation and are a must-order. They're huge individually but you can stack them up if you're feeling particularly hungry.

My Old DutchMy Old Dutch

Holborn, Chelsea

A true classic, My Old Dutch first opened in London way back in 1958, so if you're after an old-school pancake house this is the place to go. There are a lot of options on the menu here, including a meat-feast pancake which features pepperoni and chicken goujons. If it's sweet pancakes you're after then it's the stack of five butterscotch pancakes for you - although you can add bacon and egg to these too.

Crêpeaffaire pancake dayCrêpeaffaire

Bromley, Leicester Square, Islington

If you prefer your pancakes thin and crispy, then any of the Crêpeaffaire stores around town will sort you out. They do a range of sweet and savoury crêpes. Sweet options include toppings like lotus, Nutella and Oreos while the savoury flavours include an all-day breakfast or smoked salmon and cream cheese. They'll also deliver pancake kits to your door.
