You could toil away at home making your own brunch. But when you can order in Gloucester Old Spot muffins, blueberry pancakes or shakshuka without having to get dressed, why would you? Here's our pick of who's delivering brunch to Londoners. 

North

The Breakfast Club, IslingtonThe Breakfast Club, Islington

The Breakfast Clubs have been hugely popular wherever they've landed and they've moved the bulk of their menu over for delivery. A large part of their menu is available, including pancakes, waffles, breakfast burgers and burritos.

This Highbury cafe (and shop) sells sell sourdough baguettes, brownies croissants and other pastries. But you can also order their gorgeous bacon or sausage sandwich with smoked garlic chutney on potato bap (with added fried eggs if you want).

PophamsPophams, Islington

Where: Islington and Hackney

Pophams are have many Insta-worthy pastries to up your brunch game. There are so many lovely things to order for an at-home brunch including their amazing croissant swirls - choose from bacon and maple or Marmite, spring onion and Schlossberger cheese. You can also order freshly made granola with coconut yoghurt and pecan butter and croissants too.

  • Roni's Bagel bakery has am English and Greek breakfast not to mention plenty of shakshuka options. You can find them in Belsize Park and Muswell Hill.
  • Esters (Stone Newington) have a click & collect shop and their breakfast sandwich makes for a perfect brunch-to-go
  • Sunday (Islington) - hidden away in Barnsbury, Sunday are serving takeaway dishes that include waffles, salt beef hash and more 

 

South London 

Farmer's Mistress, BatterseaFarmer's Mistress, Battersea

The Farmer's Mistress offers balanced, but "naughty" comfort food on a collection-only menu features a range of all-day brunches that include porridge and granola up to breakfast buns and "royales" with either salmon or smoked pork. Their signature "Naughty Mistress" (all all-day breakfast) and the veggie mistress are available too.

Juliet’s Quality FoodsJuliet’s Quality Foods, Tooting

This lovely cafe is named after its former guise, Juliet’s Afro Superstore, so Juliet is long gone but, oh, the food! There’s smoked heritage potato omelette with whipped goat’s cheese, ash and wild marjoram or how about a grilled Gloucester Old Spot pork patty muffin with  crispy hash, dry cure bacon, Lincolnshire poacher cheese and house-made tonkatsu sauce?

MilkMilk, Balham

Where: 18-20 Bedford Hill, Balham, London SW12 9RG

This independent neighbourhood cafe serves their own twists on classic dishes with an Australian touch. Those include The Convict  - which is grilled Gloucester old spot pork patty muffin, streaky bacon, egg, hangover sauce & Lincolnshire poacher cheese. And you could pair that with a 3 stack American diner-style hash browns with Lincolnshire poacher cheese.

  • The Breakfast Club is serving up its delivery-only all-breakfast menu from London Bridge and Battersea
  • Mud (Tooting) - are delivering brunch dishes that include Turkish eggs, smashed avocado and their Great British Breakfast.
  • Tupi in Elephant and Castle is serving up huevos rancheros, chorizo hash, avocado and eggs and lots more.
  • Brother Marcus are selling brunch boxes for delivery or collection from the South Bank.  

 

East London

Deeney'sDeeney's, Leyton

Where: 360 High Rd Leyton, Leyton, London E10 6QE

Deeney’s is a Scottish-inspired neighbourhood favourite and it was "the Macbeth" that built its reputation. The haggis, bacon, cheddar, caramelised onion, rocket and mustard toastie continues to make an excellent brunch. Vegetarian haggis is used in the Lady Macbeth and vegan haggis in the Vegan Lady. - and there are more brunch dishes like the Brunch Bowl which combines eggs with avo and pea mash. We say order with a Bloody Mary Doll made with cucumber vodka, spices and tomato juice and don’t forget to ask for a splash of Buckfast to be extra-Scot.

Secret SmokehouseSecret Smokehouse

Where: Online shop only

This is a Hackney-based smokehouse from Billingsgate Scot Max Bergius who supply many of London’s best kitchens. There’s hot smoked salmon and mackerel, London cure oak-smoked trout and salmon, oak-smoked haddock, smoked salmon pâté and delicate and delicious oak-smoked kippers. We love their kippers with buttered brown bread and a poached egg but, according to Secret Smokehouse, the cockney way to eat kippers is with jam and bread. They have also been awarded a Protected Geographical Indicator [PGI] for their traditional artisan approach.

This in-store bakery from bagel specialists uses traditional family recipes. This bagel shop offers a choice of breakfast boxes including an omelette bagel (cream cheese, omelette, sliced tomato and pickles) or a smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel.

Eggslut, Notting HillEggslut, Notting Hill

Where: 185 Portobello Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 2ED

Eggslut are sending out their eggy delights all week long, but they also make for a perfect brunch. Buns include the Bacon (or sausage egg and cheese) and the Fairfax which is a scrambled egg bun. There's also the coddled egg "Slut" if you fancy something bun-free.

For their weekend brunch, Stevie Parle's Joy has teamed up with The Goods Shed for a delivery to make a great weekend brunch. There are three boxes to choose from - Pork (with sausages and bacon from Oxford and Sandy Black pigs raised on Snoad Farm), Trout (with smoked trout from The Goods Shed) and Vegetables and Eggs, a loaf of sourdough from E5 Bakehouse and more are included.

Brunch At Home Series by Climpson and SonsMaison Puget, Notting Hill

Where: 148, 150 Portobello Rd, Notting Hill, London W11 2DZ

This French bakery in the heart of Notting Hill are particularly loved for their baguette although you should order their very popular ham, cheese and béchamel croissant as early as you can before they sell out and then warm in the oven before eating.  Embellish your brunch with several fresh madeleines with coffee and finish with a classic glazed strawberry tart made with shortcrust pastry, custard cream and strawberries. Don’t forget to add a few loaves of their exceptional bread for eating/keeping (try their traditional tournesol) and perhaps while you’re at it a slice of quiche or mini pizza.

They've recently reinvented themselves as Soul Ride, a Caribbean-influenced spin-off. That continues to their brunch offering which, alongside streaky bacon and sourdough, adds smoked Cajun pepper stew with coconut and avocado, Riding House buttermilk pancakes with marshmallows, coconut clotted cream, white chocolate and banana maple as well as a sorrel & hibiscus Prosecco punch. If you're local, you can order a "Full Grenada breakfast".

Brunch masters Caravan have two brunch kits that they're delivering every Friday. There's baked eggs (although you'll need the eggs yourselves) or Kimchi pancakes. Both come with sourdough and their own coffee.

Le SwineLe Swine

le Swine is an on a mission to "take the humble bacon butty to dizzy new heights". Le Swine DIY bacon butty kits are available for two or four people and include old fashioned middle bacon sourced from pure breed Berkshire and Middle White pigs from small scale farmers in Lancashire, Clarence Court duck eggs, bacon butter, milk and onion buns, fresh sage, selection of homemade ketchup pots and a voucher for a free bacon sandwich to be used at Spitalfields once they reopen.
