Panadera are opening a second bakery, next to Selfridges

3/9/24 - updated with the opening date

They're one of the best bakeries in London, so news that Filipino bakery Panadera was expanding was always going to be of interest. Now we know where they're opening their second place - right around the corner from Selfridges. The new home on Picton Place puts them literally doors away from another top-tier spot Arôme Bakery. That's going to make this little corner of Marylebone a must-visit for any serious patisserie fans.

"We’ve been working hard to create a space that feels just as warm and welcoming as our first location," they said, "and we can’t wait for you to experience it."

The new bakery is going to serve up everything that made the first one such a big deal. There will be pandesal (Filipino milk buns), ube pie and all kinds of great sandos and speciality drinks like ube matcha lattes and orange espressos.

There are also two new exclusive sandos. There's the Panko Aubergine Sando, featuring fried panko-crusted aubergine, sun-dried tomatoes, homemade hummus, and melted mozzarella
cheese. And the second new sando is the Ube Toast - with homemade ube jam generously spread on both sides of freshly baked Pandesal with a slab of French butter between them.  Expect that last one to be a big of an Instagram sensation.
