It's all change at Harrods for chef and restaurateur Jason Atherton. He's moving out of his current digs on the store's lower ground floor and heading to the Dining Hall. The plan is to open a 25-seat gourmet hot dog restaurant, Hot Dogs by Three Darlings. The Three Darlings bit alludes to his upcoming Chelsea opening of the same name.
The new Harrods restaurant will be an all-counter dining space serving up a tight menu of five gourmet hot dogs. The dogs are going to be inspired by flavours from around the world. There will also be a rotating hot dog special endorsed by a celebrity. We've heard rumours of the person behind the first one and they're a bona fide A-lister.
In addition to the dogs there will be Koffmann potato fries and sundaes. On the drinks side of things expect milkshakes, martinis and a list of champagne, wine and beer.
