Anyone who's been to the Vauxhall and Nine Elms area recently knows that there's a lot going on there right now. While we wait for the eventual opening of the Park Hyatt, which is certainly taking its time, there's also the more imminent opening of a new "food and entertainment emporium" to look forward to.
Taking over the Albert Embankment’s Railway Arches is Metropolis London. It's planned to be an indoor home for street vendors that doesn't look a million miles away from Seven Dials Market in Covent Garden. They'll have 11 street food vendors, including:
- Chipsy - Loaded fries and a smoked BBQ feast
- Birria Taco - Cal-Mex style tacos and ramen with a twist
- Sekushi - Japanese & Pan-Asian dishes
- Karapincha - Sri Lankan food inspired by family recipes.
- Fresco Trattoria Pizzeria - Neapolitan-style pizzas
- Lorenzo Kusina - soul food with a Filipino twist.
- O’Gosht - American/Middle-eastern favourite comfort food
- OshPaz - Uzbekistan dumplings
- Sexy Buns - big sandwiches
- Gelato Lab - Ice Cream Union do gelato
- Nuttea - ice cold mylk and fruit teas
On top of all of that, there will be a separate bar and they're planning lots of entertainment, including live music, bingo and plenty of screens to watch the summer sports events. It's a good line-up so this could do very well this summer.
