17/5/24 - Updated with the opening date
There are already Orange, Yellow, Scarlet and Blue Little Doors bars across London, and now a Violet one is about to join them, this time in Carnaby.
The Little Violet Door, like its siblings, will be set up like a fictional house party (if someone you knew just so happened to have a massive basement flat in the centre of town). Alternatively, as they put it, it's "a flatshare turned bar and restaurant".
Their latest opening has taken over the site of what used to be Bag 'O Nails (and following that, private club The Court) and it's a big old space, down there, fitting in about 180. This time the decor, given the history of the building, will be paying reference primarily to the 60s and they'll be bringing along the kitchen disco that's a fixture of all the Little Doors.
As for food, it'll be all about tacos, sharing plates and, of course, bottomless weekend brunches. Their most recent venue, The Little Scarlet Door up the road in Soho, has been a big hit so they should be able to make the ex-Bag O Nails site work for them.
