Last night in London brought another round of restaurant awards, showering praise on the city's eating establishments. This time it was the turn of the AA guide which released its annual distribution of AA rosettes.
Rosettes range from one to five, but it's the top two categories that we're most concerned with - think of them as the equivalent of your two and three Michelin stars. This year La Dame de Pic at the Four Seasons Hotel London at Ten Trinity Square was the only restaurant in the UK to be newly elevated to four rosettes which it won for "its stunning classic dishes, featuring first class, seasonal produce, superb technical execution and flavour profiles." That's their Onion Plurielle Tartelette pictured above.
It was good news too for a smattering of other London places which this year were awarded three rosettes. Those are as follows:
- Social Eating House
- Pavyllon London
- Claridge's Restaurant
- The Silver Birch
- Studio Frantzén
Congratulations to all the restaurants celebrating today.
