Updated 15/2/24 with soft launch info
Vivek Singh (also behind The Cinnamon Club and Cinnamon Kitchen) is bringing Cinnamon Bazaar south of the river as the restaurant gets ready to open in Richmond.
As with the first Cinnamon Bazaar in Covent Garden, they say the restaurant is "inspired by bazaars in antiquity and in the modern day." That translates into an all-day menu that's all about pan-Indian, street food-style dishes and for this opening, they're also adding some new vegan-friendly dishes.
Promised for the menu at Richmond is:
- Makhani Popco
rn with fenugreek leaf and spices - Toddy Shop Pepper Fry with stir-fried shrimps, cracked pepper and curry leaf
- Veganjosh Shepherd’s Pie with root vegetables, soya nuggets and mince, topped with potato ‘chokha’ (with a lamb version available too)
On the drinks side, the cocktails include a Cinnamon Bellini with prosecco, cinnamon syrup and gold dust and lots of alcohol-free options too.
At breakfast, they'll have Bombay scrambled eggs and parathas with fillings like smoky spiced minced lamb or cauliflower with matured cheddar. The Bazaar’s Big Kitchen Mash-Up will be their version of the Full English alongside pancake stacks, kedgeree and pastries.
As for the location, you'll find the restaurant where the Richmond Carluccio's used to be.
