The people behind Tandoor Chop House and Eggbreak are gearing up to open their next restaurant in Notting Hill with Hotel Dalhousie.
Just a restaurant and not a hotel, despite the name (it's named after the town in Northern India), Hotel Dalhouseie has taken over the old Chucs site on Westbourne Grove. There, they'll have a menu based around tandoor specialities, including:
- Galouti Kebab - Spiced minced lamb kebab patties with rose water, chana dal and a fresh herb chutney
- Patrani Macchi - Sea bass coated with coconut, green chillies, coriander, garlic and mint
- Burra Kebab - Mutton chops marinated in yoghurt and cream, with spices and peppers
- Ajwaini prawns - Tandoor king prawns with carom seeds, coriander, and cumin
On top of that, they will be opening for breakfast too, with what they're calling a Mighty Thali Feast for weekend brunch.
The restaurant is aiming for a retro vibe and they'll also have a separate ground-floor bar alongside a garden at the back, so that'll be handy come summer.
