Le Gavroche is auctioning off everything from the restaurant

Le Gavroche may have closed, but there's still a chance for you to get your hands on a piece of it. In April, Christie's is getting ready to auction off the last remaining parts of Michel Roux's restaurant.

The bulk of the auction covers the wine selection and, as you can imagine, they've built up quite the collection over the years. So if you fancy getting your hands on a 2013 vintage of Domaine de la Romanée Conti Grand Cru, that should set you back somewhere in the region of £9-£12k. And that's just one bottle.

But that's not all, as they're planning to sell off all the pictures, drawings, prints, porcelain and silver from the restaurant. So if you really want to get your hands on one of those Le Gavroche plates, this is your chance. No news on whether that amazing cheese trolley is going up for sale though...

"The cellar at Le Gavroche has been lovingly curated over decades," says Michel, "and we are delighted that Christie’s, with its global reputation in art and luxury goods, will be holding the online auction for these wines.  The sale will also include artworks and other special items from Le Gavroche that are of significance to the Roux family and familiar to everyone who has eaten at the restaurant since we first opened."

See all the details about the auction, taking place on 1- April 2025 here.
