War may be ravaging their country, but Ukrainians are still getting up every day and going to work and that includes opening new restaurants. And one that opened its doors in Kyiv last year is getting ready to expand to London. Boca a Boca was set up by Ukrainian entrepreneur, Andrii Nikonov, who wanted to open somewhere in Kyiv to share his love of Spanish food.

Now he's bringing Boca a Boca to London where it's taken over the space left vacant by Ampeli. Here there'll be a bar, jamoneria and restaurant and you can even buy food to take home with you.

Food-wise think tapas and pinchos, so toasts topped with jamon and artichoke salsa, manchego croquettes and padron peppers stuffed with chorizo. The all-Spanish wine list will feature a 'wine of the month' to showcase regional wines.

"Boca a Boca takes inspiration from Spain, but our business has Ukrainian hospitality at its heart," explains Andrii, "so it’s exciting to be able to show Londoners a combination they won’t have come across before.”
