If the revolution ever happened and Prince William found himself in need of a job, maybe he could consider the hospitality industry? Just months ago the heir to the throne enjoyed taking phone orders at an Indian restaurant in Birmingham. Next, he was down in Cornwall opening up a new sustainable restaurant. And this weekend he was back in business, serving up burgers from a London street food truck.
HRH was on burger serving duty with YouTubers Sorted Food as a way to promote a bunch of gadgets that had won prizes in his eco-competition The Earth Shot Prize. So there were veg grown by Kheyti's Greenhouse-in-a-box which was turned into a pickled slaw and herby mayo. Then the Mukuru Clean Stove from Kenya, which uses biomass as a fuel, was used to cook an Indian-meets-East African style hotpot. Finally, there were burger boxes from Notpla-stic which uses seaweed and plants to make takeaway boxes for a veggie burger.
The team then piled into a solar-powered food truck from Chilli Dogs Events to head to Maltby Street Market's Hiver Taproom where the Sorted crew and Prince William gave market visitors one hell of a surprise.
