Aqua's next is Italian restaurant and cafe Luci in Covent Garden

9/8/23 - Updated with the opening date

They opened Shiro in Broadgate only late last year, but the Aqua Restaurant Group already have another restaurant lined up called Luci. They've taken over a space in The Yards section of  Covent Garden (once held by a Jack Wills store and Le Palais Du Jardine).

As for the food, this time it's Italian in focus, with a menu that's led by Aqua’s Head Chef, Andrea Pesenti. On the ground floor, it'll be a grab-and-go operation which will have sourdough loaves, Italian sandwiches, salads and sweets and pastries.

Meanwhile, on the first floor, it'll be about woodfire pizza, traditional pasta and focaccia. On the menu will be Parmigiana di melanzane, chicken cacciatore and lamb meatballs in San Marzano tomato sauce and fennel. There will be a gelato counter too.

David Yeo, Aqua's CEO and founder says they're bringing a love of Italian food to Covent Garden "whether a Cappuccino and a pistachio cornetto for breakfast or a slice of pizza and a Negroni as a nightcap."
