As London foodies know, any news from Quality Chop House is big news. Today they've revealed that they're about to reopen their daytime cafe. The QCH Cafe will serve up a lunchtime-only menu on weekdays in the space that in the evenings houses Quality Wines.
As co-owner Will Lander explained to Hot Dinners; "the cafe menu is focused on what the French would call 'plats de resistance' which will provide a hearty lunch but with salads, sides and sharing plates to complement." There's also going to be a full dessert menu too.
One look at that menu should provoke any Hot Dinners reader to book their table immediately. There's a must-try QCH club sandwich, their next-level pork pie, served up with pickled walnuts, and - of course - the Dexter beef mince on dripping toast. The side to order will 100% be the confit potato shards with anchovy & garlic mayonnaise.
Desserts are clearly not merely an afterthought with the launch menu including such treats as rice pudding and rhubarb and almond frangipane tart with creme fraiche.
