West Londoners who love Japanese food have something to cheer about this autumn. Two Japanese restaurant groups, Shoryu Ramen and Sticks'n'Sushi, are opening new branches in Kensington and Westfield London respectively.
Shoryu's new Kensington High Street branch will have room for 70 ramen slurpers in a room that mixes counter dining and mini dining pods. There'll be a separate bar are for sake cocktails and Japanese beer.
Food-wise it's all about their Hakata tonkotsu ramen and vegan ramen along with hirata buns filled with treats like char siu bbq pork belly, chicken karaage, pumpkin croquette, or Japanese tofu.
Sake lovers should opt for their Kikizake Sake Flight to try a range of sakes from Honjozo to Junmai.
Over at Westfield London, the upcoming Sticks'n'Sushi will be the group's eighth restaurant in London. It's going to be a pretty large space with room for 120 diners over two floors.
As fans of the chain will know their menu is a mix of sushi and yakitori sticks along with signature dishes like their Hotate Kataifi made with scallops, miso aioli and trout roe.
