Never heard of Karen's Diner? That's about to change. Put simply, it's a restaurant where all the staff are deliberately rude to you and it's coming to London.
It started in Australia only last year but has become pretty big over here, opening in Manchester and Sheffield and now, according to a report in hospitality industry website Caterer, they have plans to come to the capital. Apparently, there may even be two diners in London - both in "secret" (i.e. you're not told until you book) locations.
The premise is pretty simple, if you go to this restaurant (themed on a classic American diner) they'll be roasting you a lot more than the food. So expect insults, bad-tempered and impatient staff, but apparently fairly decent burgers. This Insider review gives a pretty good rundown of what you'll be in for, as does The Guardian's take.
Insult comedy is a big thing though - so there's definitely a market for it (but definitely not for everyone, going by this pretty epic Mumsnet thread).
They say they're aiming to open before the end of 2022 - so we'll let you know as soon as we have more info.
