If you're a Canary Wharf worker or resident, you'll have known by now that Wood Wharf is where all the interesting new openings are at. So far we've had Hawksmoor, Caravan and Emilia's Crafted Pasta opening their doors. But eagle eyes may have been looking out for the imminent arrival of the Tribe hotel this summer. This will be the hotel group's first UK property - it's owned by Ennismore, the company behind The Hoxton and Gleneagles to name a few.
Taking over the ground floor will be Feels like June, Tribe's new all day dining spot. They're billing it as a hit of California sunshine in Canary Wharf. A morning menu featuring pistachio and almond danishes, breakfast burritos and fresh coffee with their own nut milks should make it a popular place for breakfast meetings and for lunch there'll be grab and go salads if you don't have time to eat in.
On the main menu it'll be about West Coast meets East London vibes so dishes like:
- Tater tots, with a cacio e pepe filling and pecorino aioli
- Seasonal crudités with green goddess dressing
- Shrimp taco with tarragon and old bay served in a parker house roll.
In the evenings there will be cocktails on tap including a Coconut Negroni and Tideline Highball while a large outside terrace is going to make it popular on warm days.
