Battersea Power Station announces the restaurants that'll be inside London's iconic building

Over the years of its redevelopment we've written a number of stories about restaurants, cafes and bars opening in the vicinity of Battersea Power Station. Now it's the turn of the building itself to welcome in a whole slew of food and drink places.

The only thing is they're - whisper it - not the most exciting group of restaurants. For instance, there will be restaurant chains and big names like Le Bab, Starbucks, Poke House and another Gordon Ramsay restaurant, this time Bread Street Kitchen & Bar which joins his Street Pizza that's already open in the area.

But there are a few gems too. We're always happy to see another branch of Roti King, which has been quietly growing over the past few years with its Gopal's Corner in Market Halls and its spin-off spot Peninsula at Boxpark Wembley. And we're intrigued to check out the first London branch of Paris Baguette - a huge Korean bakery company with a menu that features red bean bread, pineapple brulee pastry, curry croquette and sweet rice doughnuts alongside the usual croissants and pain au chocolats.

One of the Power Station's biggest (in terms of size) openings will be a new Bounce ping pong spot. That's going to have 11 gaming areas, a cocktail bar and a private room.

All of these will be joined by retailers like Calvin Klein, Space NK and Jo Malone when the area throws open its doors in autumn.
