East London cake fiends will soon have something new to get their teeth into when the Big London Bake East opens. This new space, which channels the Great British Bake Off, will feature a 12 station baking tent along with its first cake themed bar.
If you haven't been before, the Big London Bake is all about learning how to bake (or improve your baking skills) in a fun environment. They're firmly pitched at the group activity market although anyone can just tip up to learn. The original one opened up in Tooting and this new space is right opposite Haggerston Station.
Of course, what's particularly interesting about the Haggerstop opening is the standalone cafe and bar. We're told to expect lemon meringue, cherry bakewell and victoria sponge-inspired cocktails and the outdoor terrace and lawn mean it'll be a lovely alfresco space in better weather.
