Rishabh Vir and Tim Lang, two of the people behind Portobello restaurant Fiend, are getting ready to open something new in the area. This time they're taking over a site that was last a Flat Iron location to open wine bar Caia.
The wine comes from a list by Beth Brickenden (also behind the wine at Fiend) and we're told to expect Old-World wines from producers old and new, alongside aperitivo and digestive cocktails. Those will be matched by seasonal small plates cooked over fire (we'll have more info on that menu soon).
The two-floored bar will have an open kitchen and bar on the ground floor with a basement bar featuring, they tell us, a "curated vinyl collection by Stranger Than Paradise Records founder Noreen McShane". That space will also have guest DJs, live acoustic sessions artist Q&As and more.
