Restaurant meal kits just went up a whole new level with the news this week from Dishpatch that they'd signed up none other than Michel Roux Jr to their roster.
The chef patron of Le Gavroche will be sending out two very French meal kits with the company, a Classique and Gourmand option, both of which feature the chef's signature dishes.
The Classique menu at £70 is a three course affair with French onion soup, Boeuf Bourguignon and Rum Baba. Kick things up a notch with the four course Gourmand menu (£100) which also includes a whisky and soy glazed salmon tartare and petit fours. There's also the option to add in a cheese course of Truffle camembert with fig honey and hazelnut Brea.
"This is the kind of food I cook and eat at home," says Michel. "French country cooking is comfort food, par excellence. Especially the beef bourguignon – it's succulent, it's filling, it's just wonderful with a nice glass of red. It fills your senses and tummy with joy.”
Delivery happens every Friday, but almost all of the January slots are already sold out. So if you want to get in early on Valentine's Day or Mother's Day we'd suggest moving swiftly.
