New restaurant and bar Boiler & Co is heading to Bankside and has a very interesting chef heading up the menu - Kerth Gumbs. Last seen at Ormer Mayfair, he also made a big splash in the final of Great British menu last year.
Here, he'll have a menu of small plates that will have references to his home of Anguilla with dishes like:
- Roasted scallops with carrot and coconut curry sauce
- Grilled ox tongue with crispy potatoes and green peppercorns
- Crab Johnny cakes served with scotch bonnet mayo and roe (seen in the GBM final)
Taking over the space that used to be Camino, it'll be a cocktail bar too and that name references the boilers that are used to make key ingredients in the cocktails - like beer, whisky or coffee.
