He got to the final of MasterChef The Professionals last year, and now chef Santosh Shah is launching a Nepalese pop-up at his old stomping ground, Cinnamon Kitchen City (he was Head Chef there).
Running across September and October, it'll be a small event - seating only 15. The food will be a modernised take on the cuisine of Santosh’s birth town Siraha in regional Nepal. The menu is 15 courses (for £75) and includes:
- Lamb brain donuts
- Tareko machha, puffed rice, cherry tomato chutney, aloo ko achar
- Steamed chicken momo, sauce, cucumber pickle, caviar, gold
- Cannon of lamb, mustard greens, akoru rice, bone marrow sauce, crispy onions, puri
- Kodo ko khheer and mango snowball, mango leather, Sichuan biscuit, caramelised mango, gold leaf
So if you liked what you saw on MasterChef - this looks like a perfect chance to try the chef's food.
